PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate design ideas based on design-function relationships, serviceability, materials, methods of engineering, application, budget, price, production costs, methods of production, market characteristics, and client specifications.
- Prepare illustrations from quotations and purchase orders to convey information to the Drafting Team.
- Design products for custom applications. Coordinate preparation of submittal drawings. Perform detailed review and redline of drawings prepared by the Drafting Team.
- Liaison for technical project-related inquiries. Provided technical support to sales, project management, and drafting.
- Review of contract specifications and quotes for adequate information before quote finalization.
- Minor travel may be required on an as-needed basis.
- Periodically lead the design of plant equipment hoists, tables, covers, etc., and investigate alternative fabrication techniques for products.
- Other duties as assigned.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- An Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university. Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 1-2 years' professional experience minimum.
- Experience in Water and Wastewater Industry with an understanding of water dynamics and composite manufacturing experience.
- Effectively manage the assigned workload as scheduled.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to multi-task and suggest/adapt to design changes in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Structural knowledge; strong mechanical aptitude; composite knowledge preferable.
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mathcad, and Microsoft Office applications.
PAY RANGE:
- $79,380 - $92,000 annual salary
