JOB DESCRIPTION

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate design ideas based on design-function relationships, serviceability, materials, methods of engineering, application, budget, price, production costs, methods of production, market characteristics, and client specifications.
• Prepare illustrations from quotations and purchase orders to convey information to the Drafting Team.
• Design products for custom applications. Coordinate preparation of submittal drawings. Perform detailed review and redline of drawings prepared by the Drafting Team.
• Liaison for technical project-related inquiries. Provided technical support to sales, project management, and drafting.
• Review of contract specifications and quotes for adequate information before quote finalization.
• Minor travel may be required on an as-needed basis.
• Periodically lead the design of plant equipment hoists, tables, covers, etc., and investigate alternative fabrication techniques for products.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• An Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university. Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 1-2 years' professional experience minimum.
• Experience in Water and Wastewater Industry with an understanding of water dynamics and composite manufacturing experience.
• Effectively manage the assigned workload as scheduled.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to multi-task and suggest/adapt to design changes in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
• Structural knowledge; strong mechanical aptitude; composite knowledge preferable.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mathcad, and Microsoft Office applications.

PAY RANGE:

• $79,380 - $92,000 annual salary
