JOB DESCRIPTION

The Development Engineer will perform specific tasks such as design and develop new products and services, which includes independent project management.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform and provide guidance on engineering tasks using established procedures including but not limited to, stress analysis, design calculations, material selection, cost estimates and tolerance studies.
• Research, design, assemble and test prototypes and document all results.
• Independently lead and coordinate projects for new product development and product line related sustaining work with providing regular reviews.
• Perform and guide on design activities and coordinate with the Technical Designer for the preparation of drawings, test procedures and engineering change orders.
• Independently work and coordinate with sales, marketing, operations, production and manufacturing to provide technical data and product information for prototype manufacturing through to product commercialization.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor or Master's Degree in engineering sciences, technology or equivalent (mechanical engineering preferred)
• Min. 3-5 years industry experience preferred
• Experience using CAD and FEA applications required
• Basic knowledge of international ISO and API standards desired

PERSONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Very good oral and written communication skills in English (required) and German (at least level B2 desired)
• Planning, learning and organizational skills, reliability and ability to work in a team
• Prioritize multiple activities with tight deadlines
• Valid Driver's License is recommended depending on residence
