We are currently seeking a Graduate Engineer, Piping Design, reporting directly to Piping Lead to join the team based in Kuala Lumpur.

About The Role
  • Prepare list of critical lines.
  • Prepare Stress Calculation Notes.
  • Perform selection of pipe support types.
  • Ensure that all piping systems are adequately supported and where necessary, specify spring sliding plates and other special pipe supports.
  • Liaise with and/or advise the Piping Designer of the pipe routing to achieve the requirements of a satisfactory pipe stress analysis.
  • Prepare pipe support loading sheets for Civil/Structural design.
  • Prepare specifications, data sheets, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations/tabulations
  • Liaise with Mechanical Engineers for all matters concerning nozzle loads on equipment.

About You
  • Recognized Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Less than 2 years of working experience in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical field in an engineering company as piping stress analysis and support engineer.
  • Minimum experience in piping stress analysis using CAESAR II.
  • Minimum experience in manual calculation methods, and the use of monographs and tables for assessing adequate piping flexibility.
  • Minimum experience in piping engineering including pipe wall thickness calculations, branch connection reinforcement check, pipe supports check/selection and equipment nozzle load calculations/evaluation.
  • Able to assess pipe routings with regards to stress and supports.
  • Knowledgeable in Industry Piping Codes and Standards, and familiar with Industry Equipment codes.
  • Conversant with PI&D and its requirements.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to Work under minimum supervision.
  • Organized, methodical and detail-oriented
