Job Duties and Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
- 4 or more years of well services/intervention experience is preferred.
- Experience in Well Intervention and Abandonment.
- Well Control Certificate is preferred.
- Experience in Integrated Projects.
- Supervisory experience and exposure to multi-discipline operations is preferred.
- Advanced English is required.
- Spanish is preferred.
- CREA is required.
Responsibilities
Under direct supervision, the Well Engineer is responsible for:
- Integrated Well Intervention engineering proposals and Integrated Design of Services.
- Provides Operation Plans, prepares Programs, and ensures the technical integrity of operations planning and execution.
- Responsible for day-to-day operations monitoring. Participates in risk assessments, forecasts, and plans medium- and long-term needs to meet program requirements, anticipating operational changes and needs.
- Prepares equipment lists and identifies long-lead items.
- Ensures effective communication within the project.
- Performs engineering studies to solve recurring issues.
- Prepares End-of-Well reports and contributes to knowledge management.
