EngineeringOne of our clients, a major oil and gas company, has tasked us with seeking an HSE Advisor - Marine and Offshore Construction to work full-time in St. John's, NL, for a 14-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the WWRP project team and contractors in planning and executing safe offshore operations.
- Ensure all safety plans and regulatory approvals are in place before commencing offshore work.
- Provide technical and functional HSE support for marine and offshore construction activities.
- Prepare regulatory application documentation, including C-NLOPB safety plans.
- Conduct compliance gap assessments and audits of marine vessels.
- Review incident investigations for quality assurance and coach contractors on safety management practices.
- Participate in hazard identification and risk assessment sessions.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Health, Safety, and Environmental Science or an Occupational Health and Safety Certificate/Diploma.
- Professional safety designations such as CRSP, CSP, ROH, or ROHT are considered an asset.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an HSE role within the offshore industry.
Work Environment:
- This position is primarily office-based in St. John's, NL, with occasional travel offshore during platform installation campaigns.
- Work schedule: 40 hrs/week (8hrs/day, 5 days/week) and offshore hours (12 hours per day)
