PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and NOV Global HSE Policy.
- Facilitates and leads HSE functions in implementing strategic planning and deployment of initiatives.
- Analyzes and communicates HSE performance throughout assigned FIDs.
- Work with and support local managers in the implementation and maintenance of HSE processes and programs, including the EPS Global HSE Management System (HSE 360).
- Participates in or leads accident investigations with the aid of location resources.
- Conducts risk assessments and creates proposals for preventative measures and identifies safe methods of work.
- Works closely with global and local management teams to approve suitable facilities to carry out company business.
- Prepares multiple HSE reports to management.
- Communicates new environmental, occupational safety, health laws, and regulations.
- Organizes, coordinates, and participates in HSE audits and facility inspections.
- Completes other tasks as requested by the manager.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 5 years of HSE manufacturing experience; college degree preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of Supervising experience is preferred but not required.
- Professional certifications in the field of HSE may be substituted in place of education.
- Proven ability to understand, explain, and apply concepts and legal requirements effectively.
- Demonstrate professional and ethical behavior per NOV Corporate policies.
- Ability to communicate with personnel at all levels within the organization.
- Proficient computer skills are required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Cross-functional responsibilities to the business unit or segment may also be required.
