What You'll Do:
As a Petroleum Service Technician at D&H United FuelingSolutions, Inc. in Omaha, NE your primary responsibilities will include:
• Scheduled and Unscheduled Repairs: Perform both scheduled andemergency repairs and maintenance on equipment such as fuel dispensers.
• Customer Satisfaction: Deliver excellent service in a polite andprofessional manner, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
• Safety Standards: Maintain and adhere to high safety standards inall tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Daily Operations: Take daily directions from the Service Manager orService Dispatcher regarding the tasks to be performed. Follow D&H UnitedFueling Solutions service call procedures.
• Emergency Response: Respond to after-hours emergency servicerequests or other priority situations as part of an on-call rotation.
• Response Time: Meet specified response time parameters fordifferent types of repairs.
• Vehicle and Inventory Maintenance: Maintain a company-furnishedvehicle and keep an inventory of repair parts.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety policies andprocedures and report any unsafe conditions.
• Training: Complete online and classroom training courses, includingregular recertifications.
• Customer Protocols: Follow all customer protocols and procedures,including safety and housekeeping guidelines, when performing repairs atcustomer sites.
• Inventory Communication: Communicate with warehouse personnel toverify inventory and replenish what is needed on the truck.
Additional Gas Station Responsibilities:
• Fuel Dispenser Maintenance: Inspect, repair, and maintain fueldispensers, ensuring accurate fuel measurement and dispensing. Replace andcalibrate meter assemblies and perform periodic inspections to ensurecompliance with regulatory standards.
• Tank and Line Inspections: Conduct routine inspections ofunderground and above-ground storage tanks and lines for leaks, corrosion, andother issues. Perform pressure testing and leak detection using specializedequipment.
• Vapor Recovery Systems: Install, maintain, and repair vaporrecovery systems to prevent fuel vapors from escaping into the atmosphere.Ensure systems are compliant with environmental regulations.
• POS and Payment Systems: Troubleshoot and repair point-of-sale(POS) systems and fuel management software. Install and configure new POSterminals and integrate with existing fuel dispensers.
• Canopy and Signage Maintenance: Maintain and repair canopylighting, signage, and price displays to ensure visibility and functionality.Replace bulbs, ballasts, and other lighting components as needed.
• Safety and Environmental Compliance: Ensure all work adheres toenvironmental regulations and safety standards. Perform site assessments toidentify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Customer Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships withgas station owners and managers. Provide training to gas station staff on theproper use and maintenance of fuel dispensing equipment.
Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: At least 1-year experience in petroleum-related serviceis preferred, but training will be provided.
• Technical Skills: Basic understanding of mechanical and electricalsystems. Strong troubleshooting and logical problem-solving skills. Ability tosafely operate personal hand tools and properly use a multi-meter.
• License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Communication: Strong communication and customer relations skills.Basic computer skills.
• Work Ethic: Good work ethic and professional demeanor.
• Preferred Certifications:
- Experience or certification in one or more of the following:
- Gilbarco Dispenser
- Wayne Dispenser
- Gasboy Fleet
- Passport
- Veeder Root
- Verifone
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally liftand/or move up to 50
pounds unassisted.
- Work in a high traffic area.
- Work flexible hours.
- Work independently and as a member of a team.
- Create and maintain professional relationships within all levelsof the organization
(peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors).
- Pass a drug test and background check.
