As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Electro Engineer with experience in onshore or offshore projects.
 
This position is led from Stord and is not a rotation
 
Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
 
What will you be doing?
  • Oversee planning for Medium and High classified projects
  • Establish and execute planning and staffing strategy with an HSSE focus
  • Develop and ensure project schedules meet contract and project requirements
  • Approve vacation/absence up to one working week for project personnel
  • Lead the team, fostering a positive and motivating work environment
  • Perform leadership tasks: onboarding, training, feedback, and project discussions
  • Manage change control and ensure adherence to procedures
  • Promote cost-consciousness in project activities and solutions

 
Qualifications we think you should have:
 
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree; management experience may compensate for lack of formal education
  • Minimum of five years' experience in planning or project execution within the industry
  • Proficient in Norwegian and English both written and spoken.
  • It is an advantage if you have AKSO experience
  • Safran or Primavera knowledge
  • EPC experience
  • Strong understanding of planning activities, ensuring compliance with governing documents and contract requirements
  • Experience in driving improvement projects focused on work efficiency, digitalization, and automation
  • Ability to monitor project progress, identify negative trends early, and propose corrective actions
  • Coordination skills to work effectively with site teams, subcontractors, procurement, and other key stakeholders
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all project phases and working methods (PEM): Engineering, Procurement, Construction Assembly, and Completion
  • Familiarity with various disciplines and strong contract awareness
  • Proactive and transparent attitude in team interactions and client relations
