Wood is recruiting for an Onshore EHS Technician with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry to join the team in Equatorial Guinea. This is an onshore position - open to Equatorial Guinean national candidates only.
- Facilitate daily permit to work and JSA activities
- Facilitate company PPE program including monitoring of stock and ordering
- Performs data entry and recordkeeping for various EHS programs: i.e. Inspections
- Assists in accumulation and reporting of EHS performance metrics
- Assists with waste management program duties
- Maintains filing system and performs document retention duties
- Supports or provides EHS Training program including conducting Spanish sessions
- Performs facility inspections and preventative maintenance of EHS Equipment
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides technical EHS expertise and skills necessary for the company's forward success
- Works with EHSR Manager to ensure effective use of industry best practices and consistency in our global approach
- Provides directional support on EHS strategy and assists in development of EHS employees and programs
- Assists in evaluating programs ie training, No Harm for effectiveness and forward success
- Plus any other duties that may additionally be required as part of the role as operational requirements change
- Work may involve moderate to heavy physical activity and exposure to outside weather conditions
- May require travel to various field locations
- Provides directional support on EHSR strategy and assists in development of EHSR employees and programs
- Oversees/mentors lower level contract EHS personnel
- Assists in evaluating programs ie training, No Harm for effectiveness and forward success
- Plus any other duties that may additionally be required as part of the role as operational requirements change.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates or Bachelors degree in environmental or occupational safety and health or other related field OR High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Typically requires some years of experience in EHS
- Some years of oil and gas experience preferred
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in environmental or occupational safety and health or other related field OR High School Diploma (or equivalent experience)
- Oil and gas experience preferred (extensive experience in HSE)
Note:
- Work may involve moderate to heavy physical activity and exposure to outside weather conditions
- May require travel to various field locations
- May require working offshore
- May require working a rotational schedule to facilitate offshore duties
