Driving the new subsea era
In August 2022, Aker Solutions entered into an agreement with SLB and Subsea 7 to form a new Joint Venture for subsea. Our Joint Venture came into effect on the 2nd of October 2023 and has been named OneSubsea.
By forming OneSubsea, SLB, Aker Solutions and Subsea 7 have come together to create the world’s leading subsea technology and solutions provider. We are focused on accelerating innovation to create a step change in subsea production economics and reduce emissions in subsea operations.
The joint venture brings together deep reservoir domain expertise, broad front-end and system design knowledge. We provide an extensive field-proven subsea production and processing technology portfolio, world-class manufacturing scale and capacity, and unique pore-to-process integration capabilities.
We are now looking for an HSSE Advisor who wants to strengthen our team and be part of the exciting journey that has just started.
Job purpose: HSSE Adviser is accountable to the project HSSE Manager and shall assist on running the HSSE program for the project. This includes helping in running weekly meetings, updating internal documentation, to run inspections and site visits as required and to assist in keeping all documentation and programs updated.
Location: Mainly Oslo but some travelling to Tranby, Moss and Egersund is required.

What will you be doing?
- Take an active role to ensure that the SLB OneSubsea global HSSE functional agenda is implemented in the project, and liaise with the chief officers in the HSSE function.
- Ensure monthly reports are compiled for the project and for client, and facilitate monthly meetings with HSSE team, sites and client
- Facilitate collaboration meetings (Kanban) for HSSE Management, HSSE in Fabrication and HSSE in Completion, and risk assessment in project and assist on sites as required
- Facilitate close-out of the HSSE Follow-up System as part of the Product Assurance Register as defined in applicable execution model
- Communicate and share HSSE-performance, messages and lessons learned to stakeholders within area of responsibility.
- Secure efficient working interfaces and active dialogue with Client representatives
- Be continuously updated on the project main status and challenges, and act in interest of the overall project best development.
- Do Site walks and inspection at site as required.
- Support SIT HSSE execution team as required
- Support site HSSE execution team (Egersund) on the project as required.
We think you should have:
Knowledge/skills required:
- Knowledge and competence within the area of risk management and HSSE
- Excellent knowledge of HSE systems and good knowledge of OneSubsea's Management System and Execution Models §
- Excellent skills in running large risk assessment workshop using a variety of risk assessment methods, and being systematic in following up and closing actions from identified risk assessment.
- Experience from completion processes in subsea energy projects.
- Communication and co-operation skills
- Knowledge of auditing, readiness reviews and investigation techniques
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within HSSE, technical safety or risk positions in a similar industry
- Experience in performing large and complex risk assessment using methods such as HAZID and / or SAFOPs (Safe Operation Analysis)
- Experience with typical SIT scope (mechanical testing), working at heights, in similar project work set up with multiple stakeholders and suppliers.
- Minimum Bachelor of Science/ Social Science
- Proficient in the English language
- Relevant work experience may supersede educational requirements
