- Lead and direct a team of pipeline integrity engineers in providing valuable Subsea and Pipelines Systems Integrity input and assist in establishing the vision, strategy and the timely and effective implementation of the Subsea & Pipeline Integrity Management Programs (PIMS) and Emergency Pipeline Repair System (EPRS) for all QG pipelines.
- Addresses more complex discipline specific and multi-discipline related problems and issues particularly in relation to subsea and pipelines systems.
- Develop work methods from several alternative options in accordance with established pipeline integrity management programs, procedures and professional standards including planning, execution and results assessment concluding pipeline risk assessment and recommendations to extend the remaining life of pipelines.
- Respond to pipeline related events, issues and/or incidents often requiring the team to conduct critical technical tasks requiring extensive engineering analysis based on available information, in a timely manner.
- Frequent presence in the field to support pipeline related activities, both Offshore and Onshore.
- Manage and control contract manpower and safely complete all the planned & discovery activities.
- Oversee annual budget for pipeline integrity underwater inspection activities and emergency pipeline repair system in excess of USD 25M
- Provides technical and operational support and plays a leading role within the Subsea & Pipelines Integrity Division. Contributes to the yearly Division budget and venture direct budget for major expense items such as EPRS, Underwater Surveys (UWI), ILI Inspections, and Pipeline Integrity Management System (PIMS) along with the justification and planned schedules.
- Develops, implements and maintains (PIMS) based on the best industry standards supported by computerized system for the management of Threats and Risks, Mitigation Plan, Discovery Management, Integrity Assessment and Performance Monitoring and link program scope with execution activity.
- Prepares goals, objectives and strategies for Pipeline and Subsea Integrity programs, identifying continuous improvement and efficiency opportunities, and improved technology applications.
- Lead the development, coordination and implementation/execution of QG Pipeline Integrity Management program, EPRS and development programs for team members.
- Ensure all activities undertaken under the above programs are executed safely. Encourages and individually demonstrates field based visits and presence to promote safe practices.
- Ensure collaboration regarding pipeline corrosion management, pipeline operations/flow assurance, and underwater inspection and ensure aligned positions between groups to support upwards recommendations to Asset and Department Managers.
- Oversees the satisfactory planning and completion of all necessary integrity related tasks; monitors, evaluates, reports and communicates the status, results and current issues, and conducts measurement and verification activities. Ensures the highest standards of compliance to company policies and QGMS, including Management of Change and Work Management expectations.
- Lead and coordinate integrity input into proposed future pipelines or subsea structures ensuring the facilities and associated documentation are fit to operate and have been designed with long-term integrity considerations.
- Leads and participates in RCFA, Incident Investigations, SHE reviews and performs necessary studies to support the development or understanding of new technologies.
- Manage internal and external pipeline inspection contracts as focal point to fulfil (PIMS) strategy requirements, this includes specialty contractor selection.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Structural or Pipeline Engineering.
- 10 years’ experience in Oil and Gas sector with a focus on Pipelines Operations, Integrity inspection, Corrosion and Maintenance and/or Design & Construction.
- Knowledge of pipeline corrosion, failure mechanisms and corrosion controls and a proven track record in a subsea & pipelines integrity focused organization.
- Experience and knowledge of risk based integrity management methods and strong understanding of process safety concepts.
