JOB DESCRIPTION

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete all safety training, training plans, and competency standards as set out in the position within company guidelines.
  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies.
  • Attend classroom instructional sessions aimed at product line-specific training.
  • Assist workshop personnel in the preparation of jobs (which may include: inventory, tool measurement, documentation, equipment load-out, etc...)
  • Have a general knowledge of the Liner Hanger Systems and Completion products and services including having the ability to correctly identify all tools and components.
  • Assist in tool preparation and testing.
  • Recommend measures to improve methods, performance, and quality to increase efficiency.
  • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
  • Assist in the shop and make deliveries when available.
  • Prepare and keep accurate paperwork on delivery tickets, job reports, time sheets, and other similar administrative forms.
  • Keep accurate paperwork of equipment used and services provided in the field.
  • Must understand NOV quality policies and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures, and Workplace Instructions.
  • Work in compliance with (ISO/ API/ SCC)
  • Report the status of ongoing activities daily to the Workshop Supervisor.
  • Participate in actions that promote a safety and quality culture within NOV.
  • Required to be available on a 24-hour call basis as needed.
  • Show willingness and flexibility to perform other tasks as instructed by the Workshop Supervisor.
  • Work assignments are carried out at the highest quality level.
  • Report any unsafe activities or injuries to the HSE Manager immediately and also immediate manager.
  • Be aware of your responsibilities, accountabilities, tasks, and goals for health, safety, and environmental protection.
  • Work assignments are to be carried out at the highest quality level.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of industry experience in relevant field.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • The physical ability to immediately respond to emergencies.
  • Valid forklift certification.
  • Valid overhead crane certification.
  • Mechanical ability is necessary to perform tasks.
