Job Summary.

As a Projects & Proposals engineer, you will be responsible for providing clients with professional Quotations / Bids which are technically compliant and commercially competitive and, for working as part of a team to ensure on-time bid submission. Work together with various discipline towards delivering projects to customers as per contractual requirements. Demonstrate accountabilities for all technical-related actions required for the successful preparation of proposals and ensure that the core project operations are always continuing.

You will be required to handle different pump package (Reciprocating/PCP/ALS/HPS) projects and proposals, across NOV Production and Flow Technology - production /midstream equipment portfolio of products.

You shall be highly observant, willing to learn and assist wherever possible. Shall be ready to engage with multi discipline team of engineers for a successful executions and delivery of projects, meeting the operations goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for creation of best technical and commercial solution for bids across NOV Production and Flow Technology - production /midstream equipment portfolio of products. Shall be accountable for applications engineering and system design through the use of Software and sizing program
• Work closely with customer to understand the business requirement for the Proposal, develop effective working relationships and management processes for the project award.
• You shall be responsible for the preparation of bids and coordinating input and responses to RFQs with manufacturing, engineering, applications, and sales disciplines for NOV PFT product lines.
• Compile cost estimates for scope of work (design, Packaging and testing cost etc.,) to a level and accuracy required to support the specific bid as per NOV guidelines
• Able to understand and communicates with company's Legal, tax, HSE, quality and finance representatives to identify various project-related risks and concerns.
• Attend technical Clarification & commercial review meetings and engage with customers to ensure the quote meets customer requirements and expectations as requested by Client(s)
• Handle and manage different projects for pump packages from order award until completion and delivery to the client by liaising with different departments, vendors, customers & personnel within the company including sales, finance, Engineering, logistics & procurement, construction & service.
• Manage the project execution from Purchase order award until completion and delivery to the client by liaising with different department & personnel within the company including finance, logistics & procurement & engineering.
• Track and facilitate day-to-day activities required to ensure the project is completed on time within budget, successfully, and in a manner consistent with Business unit requirements
• Monitors & Control Project schedule that includes preparation of progress status reports of the project (Internal as well as with the client) and conduct bi-weekly meetings.
• Define the deliverables, resource requirements and work plan for the project, and manage their development and delivery to ensure that the projects are delivered as per contractual and business unit needs.
• Adopting a proactive approach to identify risks related to project success. Create and maintain a project risk log, develop effective action plans for resolution as early as possible.
• Prepare package documents/ drawings as required by the contract and approved VDRL. Ensure all the deliverables are submitted as per agreed project scope and timelines and be conversant with leading quality standards like ISO, API, ASME, ATEX, SIL etc.,
• Understanding electrical schematics & electrical installation details, panel layouts for low and medium voltages (soft starter, VFD, motor control centers, lighting & PLC/automation cabinets)
• Resolve operational problems related to projects and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases. Ensure customer satisfaction and Manage client expectations of product and services.
• Create and maintain proposals/projects documentation & maintain accurate records and files according to quality standard and NOV procedures.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field with minimum 7 years of Experience in Project Management, Proposals, Packaging & Mechanical/Process.
• API 674, API 676 and horizontal pump package experience
• Experience in estimation of capital equipment packages and demonstrate Fundamental knowledge of Pumps, engines, Motors, Gearboxes, coupling, belt drive, transmissions & control panels.
• Good knowledge of ATEX/ANSI/API/ASME pipes, flanges, and fittings
• Capable of managing multiple projects & multitasker
• Understanding of General arrangement, P&ID, Instrumentation, Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electrical schemes
• Experience and knowledge of pump packaging, VFD/PLC and automation control systems.
• Effective communication in English
• Good knowledge of skid Fabrication and packaging for Oil & Gas sector
• Oil & Gas equipment packaging experience in the Middle East
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD & 3D solid modeling
• Knowledge of specific design codes like API 674/676, ASME VIII Boiler and Pressure Vessels, ASME B31.3, NACE MR-0175, ATEX
• Experience in ERP systems - JDE, CRM, SAP & Oracle
• Knowledge and experience working with ISO/API
