Airswift is seeking for a Control System Engineer to work with our client based in Qatar.
Qualification:
- Degree (Related Discipline)
- Relevant disciplines certificates
- 10 Year similar experience
- 15 Years overall experience in oil and gas
- Responsible for evaluation, Selection and application of standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications keeping in view the QE HSE policies. Also, reviews and prepares higher tier engineering documents and drawings related to the Control Systems engineering discipline. Manage, Plan, Monitor and Control overall performance of Operations Systems & Controls regarding DCS, ESDS, Packaged equipment Control Systems, Condition Monitoring Systems, SCADA and Gas Turbines and Compressors Controls Systems. Liaise with other departments to assist in the above-mentioned system in the areas of responsibilities. Shall contributes and promotes continuous work improvement
Principal Accountabilities:
- Perform the effective engineering support, integrity and availability of all Systems & Control in adherence with QE and relevant international standards being followed within QE and appropriate Safety codes to achieve their maximum integrity, availability and efficiency in cost effective manner.
- Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional system & control requirements and/or difficult coordination requirements.
- Provide specialist engineering support services, studies, failure analysis and root cause analysis, recommend the appropriate corrective and follow up action to prevent reoccurrence and measure improvements. Attending FAT/ IFAT, Witness System Commissioning & Pre-Commissioning, SAT and Takeover of new/upgrade projects.
- Review of all detail engineering documents of Vendor/ Contractor and attending all technical meetings as focal point from system Management side during contract execution for In house and ED / EM projects
- Reviews defect reports for all Systems & Controls equipment within the assigned areas and initiates action as appropriate. Perform and ensures the effective support for DCS, ESD, SCADA, PLC control systems, Heavy Duty Turbine Control Systems, Compressor Control Systems in adherence with QE and relevant international Compressor Control Systems in adherence with OP and relevant international standards being followed within QE and appropriate Safety codes to achieve their maximum integrity and efficiency in cost effective manner
