Position Summary:
The Senior Energy Management System (EMS) Engineer will provide Energy/Generation Management System support for the growing and increasingly complex TPS EMS/SCADA system. This person will have solid and varied experience with OSII Applications and subsystem products operating on the Windows Server platform. Additionally, this seasoned engineer will have expert level experience with the underlying database structures, configurations, software release installations, and systems design for maintaining reliable and robust operation. Preferably, this senior engineer will have experience with supporting the GMS and other systems line of products such as SCADA, OpenAGC, OpenECA, MOSNET, OpenCalc, OpenFEP, and Viewpoint. Experience with a multi-site redundant architecture is also preferred. Lastly, experience with EMS/SCADA support systems project coordination, planning, implementation, and development of and adherence to change management processes is essential in this role.

The job may also require standing, bending, walking, lifting up to 10 lbs., carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, kneeling, crouching, driving, and airline travel. The incumbent will have the ability to use standard office equipment such as PC, printer, telephone, calculator, and copy and fax machines. Travel required to meetings in other office buildings, including local and domestic.

Essential Job Functions:
- Perform ongoing system administration, maintenance, and upgrade activity with various OSII monarch base software and suite of subsystem products
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues to resolution independently, collaboratively with the EMS/SCADA team, and with OSII vendor engagement
- Calculation development and improvement utilizing the 'C' programming language within the OpenCalc suite is desired
- Support internal business units and external customer business as necessary
- Communicate effectively with internal groups and external interfaces as necessary
- Produce deliverables with deadlines and ensure various project completion successfully
- Utilize documented procedures and processes to achieve system reliability and efficiency
- Perform rotating 24x7 on-call duties to support all EMS/SCADA related issues
- Dependable, reliable, and predictable attendance is required
Education/Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent work experience in computer science, telecommunications, engineering, or a bulk electric system control center and/or plant instrumentation & controls environment
- 7-10 years of EMS/GMS/SCADA, Control Center or plant SCADA engineering, computer science, or related experience is required; OSII monarch .NET architecture GMS experience is a must
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to remain focused on the accuracy of task completion
- Positive attitude and willingness to proactively self-educate
- Proficiency in MS Windows Operating Systems and MS Office; proficiency in MSSQL is a plus
- Able to adapt to a flexible work schedule at times to support system administration, maintenance, upgrades, emergency issues and IT Infrastructure projects.
