Walmart is hiring a Manager, Renewable Energy on the Asset Management team! This position will be based onsite in Bentonville, AR.

Position Summary:

The Manager, Renewable Energy will support the offsite renewable energy objectives through the portfolio management of contracted and operational energy assets. This position will collaborate with the origination team to ensure that new contracts are strategically structured for the long-term operational success.

Our business strategy is focused on enhancing energy security and affordability within our operations. As part of this, we are building a distinctive, value-creating businesses arising from the energy transition and accelerating progress toward our zero emissions goal by 2040. Broadly speaking, we plan to achieve this energy transition by reducing energy consumption, facilitating offsite renewable energy capacity, constructing onsite energy generation/storage, continuously exploring and implementing emerging technologies, and maintaining active engagement in energy policy with utility companies and governmental organizations.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Project Performance Management and Reporting:

Execute financial and operational analysis of our multi-GW renewable energy portfolio. This involves scrutinizing project data, refining contractual language, and troubleshooting performance issues, all in support of Walmart's multi-billion-dollar capital deployment goals.

Forecasting and Strategic Planning:

Develop analytical forecasts for renewable energy generation and investment performance that will be utilized for budget management and procurement decisions.

Execution of Power Purchase Agreements and Capital Investments:

Support on the negotiation of power purchase agreements and capital investments that align with Walmart's sustainability goals. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring that contracts and project parameters effectively minimize portfolio operational risk, contribute to decarbonization, and align with the overarching business objectives of the company.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with the renewable energy origination teams, legal, finance, business partners, etc. as we strive towards our goals.

Business Plan Execution:

Drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects. This involves identifying customer and operational needs, developing and communicating business plans and priorities, overcoming barriers and obstacles that impact performance, setting performance standards, measuring progress, developing contingency plans, and fostering a culture of adaptability and continuous learning.

Business Needs Assessment:

Ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives. This involves consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders, soliciting and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness, and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
