PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Service and repair of customer property items including, but not limited to, chokes, centrifugal pumps and frac hoses as supported by the Mission Completion Products.
- Perform service and repair primarily at NOV locations; and at customer locations as required.
- Perform all duties in accordance with the QA procedures and departmental work instructions.
- Diagnose cause of equipment malfunction thru observations and testing based on related schematics and assembly drawings.
- Ensure all work performed is in a quality minded, tidy & accurate manner, prepare all surfaces and components as necessary to ensure no damage occurs during assembly and testing.
- Actively participate in training as identified by the Manager.
- Engage in additional job activities as requested by the Manager.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Disassemble equipment to remove parts and determine required repairs.
- Examine all parts for general corrosion, defects, breakage or excessive wear whenever looking at specific reported issues on any unit.
- Request parts as required and install according to instructions and drawings.
- Test run repaired equipment to ensure it works to full specification.
- Utilize safe work habits.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Become very familiar with Mission product lines.
- Become very familiar with Mission service procedures and operational processes.
- Become familiar with all applicable NOV software.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience preferred.
- Experience using hand tools, torque wrenches, and power drills preferred.
- Previous oilfield experience preferred.
- Computer proficiency required - Microsoft Office.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
- Valid Driver's license required - as you will be operating a company vehicle.
- Must be available to work overtime and on-call schedule.
- Must obtain NOV corporate credit card and maintain an active status per NOV credit card policy.
- Operation of test pumps/equipment.
- Operation of cranes and forklifts, etc. as required.
- Ability to read and apply Assembly Drawings/Procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with customer and contractor personnel.
- Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.
- Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
- Must be willing & able to work in harsh environments including rain, snow, heat, and heights in excess of 150 feet.
