EngineeringAs Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage are now looking for a: Safety & Environment Engineer, Technical Safety in Stavanger who can help us succeed.
Aker Solutions takes care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.

What will you be doing?
- Responsible for planning and executing technical safety deliverables in project
- Establish/update safety philosophies and strategies
- Prepare design specifications, detail engineering and reporting for technical safety systems/equipment, area classification, shutdown, fire & gas detection, fire protection, escape and evacuation, etc.
- Prepare/update safety documents and drawings
- Prepare input to procurement packages and follow up suppliers
- Assessment of risk levels for different solutions, including associated qualitative/quantitative analysis
- Plan and prepare safety design reviews such as HAZID, safety assessments and ALARP assessments
Qualifications we think you should have:
- Relevant education on a MSc or BSc level
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience within technical safety engineering from Norwegian Oil & Gas industry
- Detailed knowledge of relevant Norwegian regulations, NORSOK S-001, S-011, S-012
- Knowledge of other relevant standards
- Proactive with good communication and co-operation skills
- Ability to work independently
- Experience with STID, Docmap, ARIS is a plus
- Available for work in Norway
- Good communicative skills in Norwegian and English and a team player
