Terms of Use
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Provides environmental field compliance support for Oil & Gas operations in Argentina.
- Provides technical consultation to the workforce, project teams and leadership on a wide range of environmental matters spanning the design, fabrication, installation, operations and decommissioning of Chevron assets.
- Demonstrate competency in interpreting environmental regulations and interacting with regulatory agency representatives.
- Provide guidance in environmental field compliance including spill & air emission reporting, waste management; preferred working knowledge of Argentina regulations.
- Handle multiple projects/activities and managing competing priorities, including the tracking and delivery of key actions assigned.
- Advise on compliance actions, permit preparation and regulatory submittals.
- Demonstrate experience in implementing programs of compliance in an operating environment including safeguard verification activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in an environment related field of study. Preferred Environmental engineering.
- +10 years of experience in the environmental field, Oil and Gas industry.
- Advanced or fluent English level.
- Understanding of Argentina regulations and a working knowledge of environmental regulations is required
- Demonstrate understanding of environmental compliance/permitting and ability to communicate requirements effectively and simplify complex regulatory issues.
- Capable of working effectively in teams and across functions to deliver results.
- Ability to be direct, decisive and accountable and consistent with our Chevron Way values.
- Display initiative and a self-starter attitude, setting priorities and maintaining a high level of accomplishment.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve exceptional results.
Special Considerations
- Flexibility to travel to the assets/field (mostly El Trapial, Neuquén).
