This position will be accountable for the following:

• Assist the Environmental Manager in overseeing the implementation of ESIA recommendations, environmental requirements of IFC standards and NCEC license conditions.
• Review the ESIA requirements and comments/actions in the design, engineering, construction, commissioning, pre-operation phases of the project.
• Regularly updating documents for environmental issues.
• Ensuring Subcontractors environmental management plans and procedures are reviewed and commented on as necessary prior to execution of works.
• Ensuring specific environmental risk assessments and method statements for all work activities are reviewed and commented on where necessary, prior to commencement of works.
• Surveillance and oversight of the sub-contractor’s implementation of the approved environmental plan and procedures by performing regular audits, coordination meetings and address the gaps to sub-contractor’s implementation.
• Support in the implement the training program for Air Products employees and Subcontractor personnel.
• Ensuring Environmental information/expertise is provided to the site team to ensure compliance to all applicable standards (AIR PRODUCTS / NGHC / NEOM / IFC) and regulatory requirements.
• Undertaking environmental Inspections of construction work activities on a weekly basis in line with AIR PRODUCTS / NGHC / NEOM requirements.
• Provide weekly and monthly environmental reports to key stakeholders.
• Ensure key performance indicators are systematically collected.
• Manage and analyze environmental data and prepare monthly report on environment performance.
• Coordinate with contractors & others for environmental reporting to ensure accuracy and quality of submissions to client requirements.
• Develop and track leading and lagging environmental objectives and targets.
• Assist the Environmental Manager and Senior Manager in all relevant tasks.

Minimum requirements and qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Sciences
• Member of an accredited organization Environmental professionals i.e. IEMA, NAEP
• At least 8 years of experience in oil & gas industry and renewable energy
• Experience in the Middle East
• Familiar with all aspects of environmental management in construction & commissioning
• Knowledge of environmental legislation within KSA and IFC Standards.
