The role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant in Environmental Permitting to advise on regulatory compliance and permitting for large-scale industrial and energy projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental permitting within the Rotterdam area, along with an established network of contacts in local regulatory bodies. This role is critical for ensuring that projects meet environmental regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advice on environmental permitting processes for industrial and energy projects.
• Guide the client through the complexities of environmental regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and standards.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local regulatory agencies and industry bodies.
• Manage the preparation, submission, and follow-up of environmental permit applications.
• Monitor changes in environmental legislation and provide strategic guidance to adapt to new regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with project teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and execution.
• Identify potential risks related to environmental compliance and develop mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in environmental permitting, specifically within the Rotterdam region.
• A strong network within local regulatory bodies and a deep understanding of the permitting landscape.
• Proven ability to navigate complex environmental regulations and secure permits for large-scale industrial projects.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
