Our team of environmental and permitting specialists work within the US Permitting, Environmental & Marine Affairs team securing permits from federal and state agencies. In this role, you'll support one our proposed offshore wind energy projects located.

You'll be part of our team where you, together with your colleagues, will help drive permitting success by being involved in a range of environmental, permitting, and scientific topics to support securing and complying with conditions for federal and state permits for the proposed offshore wind farm which is currently in the development phase.
As a team, we
You'll play an important role in:
- leading work packages and specific tasks to aid in securing a full suite of federal, state, and local permits
- leading planning and coordinating efficient environmental and regulatory reviews, incl. preparing applications to regulatory entities
- assess, determine, and refine the development boundary conditions of the project, including supporting management of external consultants undertaking surveys and environmental studies
- creating and maintaining positive relationships with internal stakeholders, agency personnel, and other key external stakeholders and interest groups
- analyzing and determining key risks, and elevating potential recommendations to project team members for consideration
To succeed in the role, you:
- hold at least a bachelor's degree within a relevant field, e.g., permitting, environmental policy, marine biology, marine affairs, or other related disciplines
- have min. 2 years of related work experience, e.g., from the wind industry, large scale infrastructure projects or environmental assessment
- possess knowledge of key Federal or State regulations and policies relevant to development, as well as a solid understanding of the concerns of key decision-makers, policymakers, and federal or state authorities. Direct experience of the states of Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, and/or Rhode Island is preferred
- have excellent technical writing skills and stakeholder management abilities and are a trustworthy and impactful communicator
- have a high level of ambition with strong personal drive, collaborative and open-minded, innovative, and ready to bring fresh ideas to the table
- are curious and have a desire to be a part of offshore wind being part of North Americas energy mix.
