The ICC Operations Analyst performs analysis on key operational and financial metrics to drive proper decision making and oversees operations of a defined set of asset(s) against an agreed to operational plan. As operational needs deviate from the plans, the ICC Operations Analyst develops, determines, and creates actionable recommendations to minimize impact of deviations and works with the appropriate operational organization and support groups to align on execution of the path forward. Interface with operations teams, commercial teams (gas scheduling), marketing, logistics, finance, risk management, reliability, and maintenance teams to understand and internalize system constraints in these processes and evaluate risk assessments.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Understanding gas gathering and processing contracts and how they are written
  • Modeling ethane recovery or rejection operation mode across the gathering and processing (G&P) plants and tracking and updating the key variables that drive the model
  • Modeling G&P plant netback to properly load most profitable plants across all areas within the footprint and tracking and updating the key variables that drive the model
  • Performs ad-hoc analysis and summaries of key operational and financial metrics across all areas within the G&P footprint
  • Analysis of many types of datasets and creation of process to easily visualize the data to drive decision making for the key stakeholders
  • Engaging stakeholders to develop and communicate monthly and daily operational targets
  • Continuously monitoring actual performance against those targets and driving/documenting the actions to address deviations
  • Facilitator of daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with operations leadership to drive operational excellence metrics and optimization efforts in the field
  • Providing information and guidance based on a consolidation of data and a broad perceptive of day-to-day operational performance
  • Coordinating/supporting responses to abnormal operating events and crisis events

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Marketing or equivalent work experience
  • 3 or more years of experience in the Energy/Midstream, Petrochemicals, or International Organization for Standardization (ISO) regulated industry
  • Knowledge of fundamental theories, principles and in commercial, accounting, scheduling, and/or operations
  • Excellent working knowledge of gas processing economics
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Willing and able to be on call and to provide weekend, night, and holiday coverage when required by business need
  • Occasional travel will be required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience is required although employees typically have 7-10 years; oil and gas industry experience is preferred
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Ability to work independently to drive results as well as part of a team
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to influence at a local level and across a broad organization

Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $(95% of lowest SGL's Midpt) - $ (Midpt of highest SGL) depending on a candidate's relevant work experience and education.
