Proof of the Pudding is an award-winning catering company throughout the Southeast with a commitment to creating quality culinary concepts from scratch. This standard was upheld through the expansion into Sports and Entertainment Hospitality Services by providing elevated concessions and premium offerings to Collegiate Stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, International Boat Shows, Raceways, Professional Sports Teams, & more.
Gas South Arena has a capacity of 13,000 and features a state-of-the-art house reduction system which can quickly convert the space to a 3,500 theater-style setting or a large convention and tradeshow space with a capacity of 10,000 attendees. The Arena also includes 11 concessions, 30 corporate suites, 2 party suites, club level seats, a spacious concourse to host a wide variety of events. Proof of the Pudding is the exclusive F&B provider for the Arena.
We are seeking a General Manager with strong experience in leading large venue catering with a strong background in concession operations and premium hospitality logistics. This role will be the point person for all day-to-day Arena Operations and development and continued focus of client relations.

Office work entails computer usage, interdepartmental meetings and communications via email, phone, and in person, and sorting and filing paperwork. We are seeking a General Manager with strong experience in leading large venue catering with a strong background in concession operations and premium hospitality logistics. This role will be the point person for all day-to-day Arena Operations and development and continued focus of client relations.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and effectively managing all day-to-day duties to ensure that each event is executed flawlessly from start to finish.
- Coordinates the Operations activities with other departments and event related staff to assure suites and concessions readiness and smooth operation of events.
- Implements and updates facility rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Provides clear, concise, and timely communication of directives to other departments.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; securing revenues; and maintaining security systems.
- Investigates, analyzes and resolves operational problems and complaints. Conducts periodic staff meetings to discuss procedures, problems and policy changes
- Oversee the completion of financial objectives; preparing event budgets, P&L Management, monitoring inventory, purchasing product, conducting inventory.
- Responsible for 3rd party management; Negotiates with vendors and service providers as needed. Facilitating contracts and maintaining positive working relationships.
- Maintain a high operational efficiency while always working to further enhance the overall guest experience.
- Conduct pre-game walk throughs of the Arena to ensure a safe and pristine environment for fans and employees
- Attending and executing each event to ensure that it runs smoothly from the set-up to the break-down.
- Responsible for the completion of all post-event tasks including, inputting payroll and inventory.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Hospitality Operations, Sports & Entertainment, Event Coordination, F&B Operations Management, or similar
- F&B experience in a Stadium, Arena, or high volume venue is necessary
- Proven track record of positively fostering client relationships
- Strong organizational, communications and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.
- Must be a leader who thrives on development and mentorship of staff
- Must live near, be able to commute, or relocate to Duluth, GA
Specialized Qualifications:
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Renowned time management skills
- Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client's needs.
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage Operations
- The ability to work alone and as a team.
- Knowledge of POS Systems, specifically Square is highly preferred.
Work Environment

Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Periods of standing, moving through an event space, and traveling throughout the entire venue with bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 25 lbs.
