Chief Transition Officer – CEO Designate

Expatriate Position
Your Mission :
In this high-impact role you will lead a critical phase of executive leadership transition while preparing to assume full CEO responsibilities. You will partner with the Chairman to gradually take on the day-to-day management of the company and progress into full operational and strategic oversight.
- You will assess the existing leadership team and organizational structure and make strategic recommendations to optimize governance, enhance operational efficiency and drive sustainable growth.
- You will ensure continuity and stability and further position the company for its next phase of development and long-term success.
- As head of the management team you will establish and foster a motivating and performance-oriented company culture and you will strengthen and elevate effectiveness and efficiency in staffing, structure and organization.
- Reporting directly to the Board (Nigeria/Europe) you will translate strategic plans in an annual budget and operating plan.
- You will fulfill the priorities determined by the Board in the context of the company's operational and strategic objectives with a view to increase shareholder value.
- You will maintain excellent relations with external stakeholders : e.g. customers, suppliers, financial institutions, local and governmental authorities.
- Key factor in this role will be the establishment of a close collaboration and solid mutual trust and understanding with the Chairman and family members and a strong alignment with the Board and with the company's legacy, values and objectives.
Your Profile :
To qualify for this position you have a proven successful Senior Executive Leadership experience as a CEO or other top-level position in the Oil & Gas or related industries with comprehensive expertise in upstream, midstream and downstream operations.
- You ideally have a firsthand experience working as expatriate in Africa or in other overseas, more inflationary economies.
- You have the ability to think strategically and translate strategic plans into actionable and impactful operational plans.
- You excel at driving expansion initiatives, including investments, acquisitions and corporate alliances.
- You demonstrate outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the capacity to engage and influence senior executives, board members and key stakeholders.
- With your excellent leadership skills you are capable of motivating and guiding teams through transformational periods.
- You are proficient in financial management with the ability to make informed, strategic recommendations and decisions.
- You have a proven track record of delivering results in challenging environments
- You are a highly committed person combining strong business acumen with high ethical standards and personal integrity.
- You are passionate about a global work environment and willing and able to adapt to another culture.
- You are prepared to live and work in Nigeria (Abuja) with frequent travel in Africa and regular visits to the group offices in Europe.
