ABB Robotics & Discrete Automation Business area provides robotics, and machine and factory automation including products, software, solutions and services. Revenues are generated both from direct sales to end users as well as from indirect sales mainly through system integrators and machine builders. www.abb.com/robotics

You will lead a cross-functional team of ~40 R&D engineers and operations experts in the development, implementation, and global deployment of AI-enabled robotics solutions for unstructured logistics and machine tending applications. As a key driver of the Global Solution Center's growth strategy, you will ensure profitability, manage the full P&L, and promote innovation across all operations.

Your Role: Own the Challenge

• Lead and manage a global team to deliver cutting-edge AI robotics solutions in logistics and machine tending.
• Define and execute the growth strategy, identifying new market opportunities and driving business expansion.
• Foster innovation in AI and robotics, collaborating with BL R&D to stay ahead of industry trends.
• Oversee global deployment, supporting local teams, system integrators, and customers with technical guidance.
• Cultivate a high-performance, collaborative culture aligned with organizational goals.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery.
• Uphold the highest standards of health, safety, and integrity across all operations and deployments.
• Expand after-sales capabilities to support long-term customer satisfaction and product value.
• Oversee the Global Solution Center's P&L, balancing innovation investment with operational efficiency.
• Drive global engineering and supply chain efficiency through OPC promotion and regional manufacturing (EDP).
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.

What it takes to Run what Runs the World

• Minimum 5-7 years of senior leadership experience managing interdisciplinary teams.
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in AI, robotics, or automation, with a proven track record of deploying solutions in real-world, unstructured environments such as logistics and warehousing.
• Demonstrated success in leading global, cross-regional projects, with strong capabilities in managing deployments across diverse cultural and operational contexts.
• Proven ability to drive business growth, develop go-to-market strategies, and expand into new international markets.
• Solid experience managing P&L for a business unit, including financial forecasting, cost control, and profitability oversight.
• Expertise in scaling from development to production, optimizing manufacturing processes, and improving cost efficiency.
• Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to align operations with business goals and identify growth opportunities in global markets.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to varied audiences, including executive leadership, customers, and technical teams.
