Head, India Operations Center - PA

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to deploy and lead the quality strategy for a local organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams, with the aim to achieve and exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations. Each day, you will drive the local quality system through the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. You will also showcase your expertise by coordinating the efforts of all necessary local functions that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance and ensuring that the necessary certification requirements are met throughout the organization. The work model for the role is #LI:Onsite This role is contributing to the Process Automation, BA Function Operations in Bangalore, India. This is the position of Quality Manager and Continuous Improvement You will be mainly accountable for: • Quality Control: Ensure processes continue to meet customer and stakeholder requirements. Validate that control plans are applied and effective in mitigating known risks. • Quality Assurance: Set standards to prevent mistakes and defects, avoiding problems when delivering solutions or services to customers. Provide confidence that customer quality requirements will be fulfilled. Focus on issue prevention rather than just control, establish customer and stakeholder needs/expectations, and drive the utilization of process management across OPC. • Continuous Improvement: Develop a common and consistent approach across groups in line with BU structure for continuous improvement and strategy deployment via Lean Six Sigma. Form strategies and facilitate best practice sharing in INOPC. • Business Engagement: Partner with business leaders to understand their organization's vision, objectives, and improvement needs to help define a course of action. Work with leaders to identify and access the best resources (internal or external) with which to work. • Project Support: Provide direction and support to project teams where needed, ensuring successful project delivery with a focus on safety, on-time delivery, quality, and margin improvement. Qualifications for the role

  • Experience: 15+ years, preferably in industrial & utility companies / Global Capability Centers.
  • Quality and Continuous Improvement Skills: L6S Black Belt / Green Belt, 7Q tools, FMEA, VSM, APQP/PPAP, Basic Statistical Analysis & illustrations.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in MS-Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), PowerBI, MS-Visio, Minitab-18, and coordination for business portals development.
  • Track Record: Proven ability to manage successful inter- and intracompany cooperation and deliver high impact CI projects.
  • International Experience: Experience working in international environments with different cultures and managing stakeholders at varying management levels.
  • Education: Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics & Communication Engineering. A Master's in Business/Engineering is a plus.
