The Propulsion Technology International (PTI) General Manager will provide leadership for the Miramar site which is a Joint Venture with our partner Safran. The site has 160 employees and is a repair station for fab blades, boosters, LLP primarily for CFM 56 and adding capacity to welcome Leap.
The site leader will provide oversight to the operations as well as to all enabling functions such as finance, HR and digital.

Job Description
Responsibilities :
- Provide leadership to all organizations and individuals in the plant to meet customer requirements for quality, cost, and delivery.
- Provide development of staff leaders to guide plant and support organizations
- Work with customers, functional leaders, and internal staff to meet organizational requirements
- Lead the establishment and attainment of plant goals in quality, cost, schedule, compliance and safety
- Establish and maintain the plant vision for success
- Facilitate the leadership team in strategic decision-making and problem-solving
- Provide leadership development and performance feedback to the plant staff
- Establish and maintain positive corporate citizenship through community organizations and the media
- Work with local legislative bodies to promote decisions with a positive impact on the business
- Develop and track expense and investment budgets with the input of each organization
- Establish and adjust an organizational structure that best supports the plant goals and measurements
- The GM will also act as the Accountable Manager: the successful candidate has the authority and responsibility to act on behalf of the repair station, including overseeing the administration of the repair station, ensuring it complies with applicable regulatory requirements by providing adequate housing, facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel appropriate to the ratings of the repair station.
Minimum Requirements :
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of manufacturing / services or repair activities experience.
- 5+ years of lean expertise in driving transformation.
- 5+ years of proven operations experience in the MRO space leading a repair shop, or a repair business unit.
Desired Characteristics :
- Strong commercial background.
- Familiarity with GE process, strong Matrix management.
- Strong operational rhythm.
- Ability to work in a complex JV structure.
- Spanish speaking will be considered as a plus.
