Wood is looking for a Quality Manager to join its Downstream and Chemical business with a focus on operations, maintenance, and small capital projects. This a full-time onsite opportunity and would be located at our Clute, TX office.

The Role
The Quality Manager will control, manage, and monitor the application of quality management measures and systems across contracts, projects, and regions. They will ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements, report on quality performance, and propose solutions for continual improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical responsibilities
- Control, manage, and supervise all aspects of quality across assigned business areas, including the supervision of quality resources.
- Conduct effective quality planning to ensure quality budgets are established and deliverables are produced within agreed timeframes.
- Evaluate the competence of direct reports for their allocated roles and support their ongoing development.
- Implement quality management system requirements, ensuring compliance with client requirements and ISO 9001 standards.
- Act as the quality representative and interface with top management on all quality-related matters, maintaining regular engagement with client quality representatives.
- Manage audit and assurance programs for the designated business area, including internal and external audits.
- Implement effective supply chain quality management, including vendor capability assessments, performance monitoring, and failure investigations.
- Manage, report, and analyze data from non-conformances, corrective actions, and other key quality indicators.
- Collaborate with other functions to identify continuous improvement opportunities and share best practices.
- Conduct investigations of quality-related failures and actively participate in the quality network to adopt and share best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS

Expected:
- Degree/Diploma or local equivalent in quality management or related discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in downstream and chemical business sectors.
- Lead Auditor qualification by a recognized industry body.
- Formal training in recognized root cause analysis techniques.
- Comprehensive understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 19011, and auditing protocols.
- Proficiency in the analysis of processes and data.
Desirable:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
