Vice President of Renewable Energy

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Priority Wire & Cable, a leading supplier of wire and cable in the U.S. and Canada, is seeking a Vice President of Priority Wire & Cable's Renewable Energy group. This role will be responsible for leading and growing our share in the Renewable Energy market and will have a primary focus on solar products sold exclusively through Electrical Distribution. A potential candidate should have end user and project management experience with a proficient understanding of wire and cable field applications. Responsibilities include group leadership, business development, and coordination to ensure efforts are aligned throughout the organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain Priority's go-to-market strategy for Renewable product lines offered/developed.
• Development of pricing strategy and review of large quotes.
• Grow sales and market share utilizing Priority's existing + growing infrastructure.
• Travel with existing sales team and manufacturers' representatives to promote our product offering while developing/strengthening partnerships with existing Distribution partners.
• Project Management-from initial RFQ through delivery.
• Distributor Engagement
• End User Engagement
• Peer Engagement - Serve as the subject matter expert for the organization.
• Assist and guide in the development of Marketing collateral.
• Group leadership, management, and advocacy.
• Working cross functionally to coordinate solar team activities with Operations, Purchasing and Sales
• Group Sales and Profitability
• 75% Travel is expected.

• Sound understanding of applications and trends within the Renewable market.
• Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional organization skills, quantitative mindset and attention to detail.
• Experience reviewing contracts.
• Project Management Experience
• Creativity, efficiency and accountability in organizing/managing teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing direct reports; as well as internal stakeholders and customer relations.
• Team oriented; Must be able to work with teams, individual contributors and executives while having the ability to influence, understand and collaborate.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Minimum ten years' experience with a mix of Selling, Business Development, Product, and Project Management.
• Minimum five years' experience managing a team.
• Minimum five years' experience in the Renewables Market.
• Engineering or technical experience with PV Cable installation is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to travel by plane or auto
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
