LCV NORTHCOM NTC: Logistics Supervisor

Position Overview:

The Logistics Supervisor - ASP plans, organizes, and leads day to day activities for the Theater Ammunition Supply Point (TASP) at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, California; is r esponsible for directing logistics activities in the area of ammunition support services by performing a broad array of assignments relating to the procurement of receipts, inventory/accountability, initial issues, turn-ins, ammunition residue storage, inspections, surveillances, maintenance of heavy equipment, property management, transportation activities, technical documentation and other duties associated DOD Class V operations.

Assists the department supervisor in accomplishing the short- and long-term goals for the department/function areas. R esponsible for implementing training requirements and monitoring employee performance. Establishes production standards, monitors compliance, and recommends operational improvements. Maintains employee compliance with safety policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with applicable government regulations.

Applicable Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Must have or be able to obtain a secret clearance
  • Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree and 3-5 years of experience. In lieu of a degree, at least 12 years of progressive related experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and background in ammunition and transportation processes.
  • Must be able to provide good oversight over the performance and production output of the entire Class V operation.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proficient at verbal and written communication.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Additional requirements:

  • Work under stressful circumstances and meet shorts suspense dates
  • Must be physical capable of performing the work in condition of extreme temperatures, low humidity, rain and blowing sand and dust
  • May be required to work uncommon hours of duty, extended hours, nights weekends and holiday

Pay

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Basic Compensation: $ 83,100 - 124,600
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
