Job Summary
Join our Onshore Land Operations team as an Associate Business Systems Analyst. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent or upcoming college graduate who is eager to build a career at the intersection of data, technology, and upstream oil and gas operations. You'll receive mentorship and hands-on experience supporting and improving critical business systems while learning to turn data into insights that drive real operational decisions.
This role offers hands-on mentorship in upstream oil and gas systems and tools, providing you with the guidance and support needed to excel in your career. You'll benefit from a clear career path with increasing responsibility as you grow, ensuring continuous professional development. From day one, you'll be exposed to high-impact projects that are critical to helping the business operate efficiently and accurately, making your work both meaningful and rewarding.
The Associate Business Systems Analyst will work in our Houston Corporate office and may work two (2) days a week remotely.

The individual is required to follow all applicable safety precautions. Work is performed almost entirely in a controlled (i.e., inside) environment and does not typically subject the incumbent to any hazardous/extreme elements; some positions may require regularly moving or transporting items weighing up to 25 lbs. around the office for various needs. The successful candidate must be able to complete all essential physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

The Associate Business Systems Analyst will work in our Houston Corporate office and may work two (2) days a week remotely.
Responsibilities
- Assist with setup and maintenance of wells and allocation networks in production systems
- Support users of software such as eVIN, ProCount, and Carte-including troubleshooting, small enhancements, and report creation
- Create dashboards and visual reports (Power BI/Spotfire) to support business operations.
- Participate in testing and rollout of system upgrades or new tools
- Write and modify SQL queries and Python scripts to support operational analytics and automation
- Build and automate workflows using Microsoft Power Platform tools like Power Automate and Power Apps
- Support improvement projects such as:
- Cleaning up and optimizing SQL-based reports
- Assisting with emissions and downtime tracking dashboards
- Ensuring consistent and accurate monthly data
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in management information systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field
- Coursework or hands-on experience in SQL
- Coursework or hands-on experience in Python
- Coursework or hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users
- Team mindset with the ability to work independently when needed
