Head of Construction

Your responsibilities

• Overseeing construction processes for multiple RES projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and top-quality standards.
• Managing the Construction Department by defining departmental priorities, allocating resources, and building an execution-focused team aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
• Establishing clear responsibilities, expectations, and reporting standards across all project teams. Leading and developing a team of Construction Project Managers, overseeing their performance, workload, and development.
• Supervising and coordinating multiple external contractors and service providers, across split scopes including: Civil works, Solar PV technology, BESS systems, High-voltage systems and transformers and Electrical and mechanical integration.
• Implementing best practices in construction supervision, performance tracking, and risk management.
• Ensuring seamless interdepartmental cooperation with PMO, Engineering, Procurment and O&M teams.
• Taking ownership of construction budgets across the portfolio; ensure adherence to financial targets, identify optimisation opportunities and supporting commercial decision-making with site-based insights on cost deviations and claims.
• Establishing clear reporting lines, escalation channels, and KPIs in order to ensure efficient and effective project implementation.

Our requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a managerial position, overseeing teams and projects.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in managing several RES and / or BESS construction projects simultaneously.
• Higher education in Construction Management, Engineering or related fields.
• Knowledge of construction law and technical standards, including those specific to RES.
• Knowledge of design, construction and operation processes for PV, wind farms and BESS.
• Ability to effetively combine business and technical aspects to drive strategic decision-making and innovation.
• Deep understanding of the RES market and ability to navigate its complexities.
• High communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
