The role

As a Logistics Specialist , you'll play a pivotal role in controlling the efficient flow of goods, services, and information to meet customer requirements. You'll ensure continuous improvement of logistics processes and build strategic customer relationships through logistics initiatives. Additionally, you'll identify and assess issues, making sound decisions to drive success. This includes coordinating the movement of goods, ensuring timely deliveries and optimizing transportation processes across Geozone to reduce costs and improve efficiency. This role will be responsible for coordinating shipments, working with vendors and carriers, and ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with international trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Arrange and coordinate inbound and outbound freight shipments for the operations
  • Ensure all shipments are delivered on time and in full (OTIF)
  • Process complex shipments, including material movements, and international orders
  • Communicate with freight forwarders, customers, customs brokers, third-party logistics (3PL) providers and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries
  • Seek cost-effective shipping options and provide timely pricing and delivery information
  • Prepare and process shipping documents (invoices, BOLs, customs paperwork)
  • Maintain updated records in logistics and ERP systems
  • Ensure compliance with international and domestic shipping regulations, HSE and country -specific custom regulations
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, operations, and field teams to align logistics planning with operational needs
  • Provide real-time updates and reporting on shipment status, delivery schedules, and risks
  • Support emergency logistics needs in case of operational shutdowns or urgent rig requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
  • Knowledge of logistics software
  • Familiarity with customs regulations and Incoterms
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively
