Main Purpose of Role:
The Director of Asset Management will be accountable for the business performance and responsible for the strategic leadership, direction and day to day management of the Asset Management service line in the region. The role will report to the Executive Vice President, West. Develop the existing teams, new service offerings and cultivate and manage new and existing client relationships.
Qualifications:
▪ Engineering or business degree preferred
▪ Formal Qualification in Business and/or Financial Management is desirable.
Knowledge / Experience (Skills):
▪ Minimum 15 years operational leadership roles within Gas/Energy/Utility industries
▪ Experienced (10 years) at integrating operational, engineering and management methods with industry standards to solve complex issues in the allocation of resources to ensure the sustained provision of asset intensive operations
▪ Experienced (10 years) of leading an operation with remote workers.
▪ Experience in logical, evidence-based analysis of issues relating to improving complex asset management business issues
▪ Excellent Management skills - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
▪ Demonstrate independent learning to update own knowledge in the field of asset management and keep pace with innovations in engineering and management techniques, industry trends and standards.
▪ Awareness of Health and Safety Issues (esp. UK Health and Safety Executive, HSAWA, COSHH).
▪ Entrepreneurial, self-motivated with ability to prioritise workload. ▪ Convincing and authentic interpersonal skills.
▪ Must be able to communicate in a professional manner and in a pressurised environment.
▪ Experience of recording accurate data and attention to detail.
▪ Strong organisational behaviour change experience
▪ Commercially astute
▪ A full Clean UK driving license is required.
▪ Willing to travel/work away from home.
