Within the Growth Strategy department of the Refining-Chemicals Branch, the Business Intelligence & Markets department is looking for a:
Senior Business Analyst (6 months)
The mission of this department is to consolidate the vision of the Refining-Chemicals Branch of the Company on the global refining and petrochemical markets in which it is active or wishes to develop. It contributes to the strategic decisions of the branch by providing management with the necessary insights on these subjects.
Activities
As part of your duties, you will be responsible for:
• Conducting, alone or jointly, analyses on the global petrochemical and hydrogen markets (market environment of Long-term Plan/Budget, competitive environment, competitiveness analysis, etc.).
• Monitoring the overall economic environment related to these markets.
• Managing the daily use of appropriate monitoring and analysis tools to detect and highlight critical information for the Branch's business.
• Analyzing, synthesizing, and presenting this information to top management and Business Units.
• Contributing to the preparation of the Branch's strategy presentations for external audiences (Financial Communication, Board of Directors, rating agencies, etc.).
• Contributing to the construction of the Branch's Long-Term Plan (global product balances, pricing mechanisms, regional margins, etc.), and to the development and dissemination of market data necessary for the economic evaluation of strategic projects, in collaboration with Business Units and functional departments.
Candidate Profile
• You hold a Master's degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business (Bac+5).
• You have a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in one of the aspects of business development (economics, markets, supply, management control, etc.). Knowledge of petrochemical or polymer products and markets would be a plus.
• While being able to work independently, you demonstrate the ability to work in a cross-functional team.
• You have excellent interpersonal skills (strong sense of service to internal clients, including top management).
• You are very rigorous. You have a sense of organization, demonstrate quick execution, and good management of priorities and stress.
• A perfect command of English is mandatory, a good knowledge of French is a plus.
