Role Overview

The Logistics Coordinator is based in Luanda and covers the Management & the follow up of the Import and Export of material, Sea/Air Freight in-country. The Logistics Coordinator will support to maintain strong tracking system and the coordination of the material movement within the different Sites where Subsea7 is operating within the country.

The Logistics Coordinator is expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.

Specific Key Responsibilities & Activities

• In charge of Import and Export of Material Air/Sea in Country as assigned by the line manager.
• Maintain a strong tracking system of all shipment (Physical files opening in parallel with the electronic tracking system)
• Maintain physical files and complete with all transport documents & custom documents and ready for archive after completion of activity.
• Track and follow up on Temporary Importation Shipment/Files to close the file on time and avoid any fines from the customs or any other authority.
• Management of Export of Temporary imported shipment or any other shipments as required and requested by the project.
• Liaise with the Project team /the Project Engineer to have clear plan for export of material and gather all export shipping information/instruction to start the Export in a timely manner.
• Work in close collaboration with the worksite location Team to identify the material and prepare the re-exportation.
• Attend the material custom inspection if required.
• Attend to meeting with the Agent and the customs on behalf of Subsea7 if necessary.
• Propose solution if any to line manager to improve efficiency of the work and how to make it cost effective.
• Keep on track and report on any change of local laws and regulations to line manager and call attention of all concern about impact on our activities.
• Attend to job related mission / activities that may be assigned by the line manager / Project.
• It may be required to work on other locations depending on work and as requested by the line manager.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws to the import/export of material. Consult line manager for the advice if in any doubt.

Person Specification

• Preferably logistician degree
• Preferably, experience in similar position.
• Experience in Oil and Gas Industry
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Adaptability, initiative, and problem-solving capability.
• Good knowledge of spoken and written Portuguese & English.
