Ferguson is now hiring an Operations Manager to lead business operations in Northern California! This role provides leadership for our customer-facing associates and branch functions.

Position Details
  • This role reports directly to the Area Operations Manager of the Northern California Waterworks Business Unit.
  • Has direct or indirect responsibility for the formal supervision of at least 6 associates.

Responsibilities:
  • Supports enterprise business and sales objectives through the effective and efficient management
  • Collaborates with the General Manager, Operations Manager, other key leaders build, steer and strengthen business
  • Responsible for making improvements of processes, systems, or products
  • Implement and maintain company policies
  • Implements operational efficiency improvements which may include, but are not limited to, standardization of systems, quality control, safety, site selection, facility design, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the internal audit process to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
  • Develop and recommend specific courses of action based on analysis of data to ensure we are targeting proper data driven decisions.
  • Maintain the safety and security of the Branch in accordance with OSHA standards and carry out all policies, rules, regulations, and procedures set by the organization.
  • Support the development of branch managers, as well as other operations managers, within the business unit through coaching and mentoring opportunities.
  • Lead associates, implement processes and policies to maintain and grow market share, sustain customer loyalty, and provide opportunities for growth.
  • Identify new opportunities for cost savings.
  • Facilitate and develop SOPs for the organization.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and represent associate concerns, policies, and guidelines to the management team.
  • Conduct regular associate and branch leadership meetings.
  • Represent the organization to customers, associates and leadership as needed.
  • Grow market operationally through facility additions, changes, and HR moves to promote growth.
  • Facility management and approval of maintenance needs or changes for business and market needs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred, equivalent experience will be considered
  • 2+ years management/ leadership experience preffered coupled with handling inventory / operational tasks
  • Advanced ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to groups at multiple levels of the organization (associates, branch leaders, GMs, etc).
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills to effectively respond to urgent situations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Pay Range:

$4,537.80 - $9,982.50

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.

Ferguson complies with all wage regulations. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
