If you share our clear vision to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are currently seeking a Project Quality Manager reporting directly to the hiring manager to join our management team based in Houston, Texas.
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides leadership,support and guidance for Quality activities on FEED/EPC projects to assure that projects are executed in accordance with the applicable Project Quality Plan throughout the design, procurement installation and start-up phases in accordance with Client requirements. Implements and monitors the quality management system in a medium to big and strategic EPC project or on a construction site, ensuring pro-active quality support to meet Client and quality requirements. Interacts with a variety of functional groups including the Project Management Team, Shared Services Support Functions and Client. Makes frequent decisions using sound quality principles and professional independent judgement and has the ability to perform as a job leader. May supervise other quality staff depending on the project scope and experience of the incumbent.
WORK PERFORMED:
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
BS degree in Engineering or related field preferred, plus 5-10 years work experience in EPC Projects, preferably in the engineering-construction or oil & gas industry.
Auditor training and experience is preferred. Quality certifications (CQM, CQE, CQA, etc.) are an advantage and knowledge/experience of continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN, Six Sigma, etc.) are desired.

JOB SUMMARY:

WORK PERFORMED:
- Guides project teams in understanding Quality contributions to project success.
- Participates in, facilitates or conducts project meetings.
- Provides client support, such as handling ad hoc client inquiries, as directed by the Project Manager.
- Develops and assures execution of the Project Quality Plan, including detailed planning of quality support activities such as internal audits, facilitation of Lessons Learned, etc. taking into account project-specific risks
- Aids in the development and approval of project procedures.
- Provides quality training & awareness on quality activities planned for the project.
- Assures the system for criticality ratings and planning for surveillance for procured items is effective.
- Reviews key documents such as technical specifications, RFQs, purchase order packages, SDRLs, and data books to assure quality requirements are adequately addressed.
- Reviews and approves supplier quality systems and verifies compliance.
- Coordinates with QC to monitor fabrication including review of NCRs, ITPs, and Inspection Reports.
- Tracks and coordinates waiver requests.
- Plans &/or conducts internal project audits.
- Effectively implements the corrective and preventive action system.
- Periodically reports progress and quality metrics for Company-wide aggregation.
- Actively participates within the project team to identify and address improvement opportunities.
- Interacts - Internally: Project Management, Project Engineering Management , Project Design Engineering disciplines, Inspections, Procurement, Construction - Externally: Client Quality Representatives, Suppliers, Partners Quality Managers, Contractors
