Our valued client is seeking an Expeditor to join their Oil Sands Major Projects team in Calgary, Alberta. This is a 1-year contract with potential for extension, working Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.

Our valued client is seeking an Expeditor to join their Oil Sands Major Projects team in Calgary, Alberta. This is a 1-year contract with potential for extension, working Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
Requirements:
- 10 years Experience (preferable oil and gas experience)
- Expedite documents and materials to meet the project schedule
- Support supply management team tracking all aspects of the procurement cycle, from placement of order until final delivery and turnover documentation
- Proactively engaging all stakeholders (procurement, logistics, site materials and receiving, engineering, document control and quality) to mitigate any possible risks of delays and providing support to resolve them
- Coordinate shipping and issue shipping releases to suppliers
- Issue weekly status reports and maintain weekly progress meetings with suppliers
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to travel as required to various supplier locations
- Be available to travel to visit fabrication’s shops
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Time management skills
- Understanding of supplier’s processes from receipt of order, order entry/effective start date, supplier/fabrication schedules, order closeout
- Be proficient in excel and word
