Position: Materials Lead

Major Duties
The Warehouse Materials Lead is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods. They manage people, processes, and systems to ensure materials are handled and distributed accurately and efficiently. The role involves inventory control, supply chain coordination, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.  Manages a team of 7-8 positions (so 14-16 people working back-to-back). Ensure that the supply, logistics and replacement of all Materials, Stocks, Warehousing and Inventory for the CPF and associated facilities are coordinated and arranged in an efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping.
  • Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular physical counts.
  • Ensure materials are handled, stored, and distributed in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure material availability and timely delivery.
  • Supervise and lead warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Monitor and improve warehouse safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Manage warehouse budgets and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other software tools for tracking and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and efficiency gains.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • 10 years of experience in warehouse or materials management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Experience with ERP systems and warehouse management software.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Forklift certification and knowledge of OSHA regulations is a plus.
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication skills, with an emphasis in fostering collaboration in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Fluency in English is required, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Arabic and/or French is advantageous but not mandatory.

Work Environment:
  • Warehouse setting with frequent walking, lifting, and exposure to industrial equipment.
  • May require occasional travel or extended hours during peak periods
  • Extreme weather condition can be present from high winds, intermittent rain and high temperatures while working in the Sahara Desert
