Logistics / WarehouseNES Fircroft are currently looking for a Shipping Co-Ordinator to join a global oilfield services client of ours based in Inverurie. This is a 24 month contract opportunity for an individual looking to use their import and export knowledge to facilitate safe and timely shipment of products and materials.
In this role you will work with key stakeholders to obtain freight estimates and execute customer shipment plans with an emphasis on controlling costs while meeting schedule, customer and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Organise the shipment of important export orders: obtaining quotes from freight agents, preparing documentation, liaising with other departments to obtain information as required
- Communicate with customers and coordinate collections
- Complete accurate documentation such as commercial invoices and shipping orders in line with regulations
- Ensure all movements of goods, important and exports are in compliance with HMRC and company policy
- Coordinate with Sales/Production/Procurement departments
- Address order flow or shipping delays and qc issues
- Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager.
Experience:
- HND in a relevant business qualification or equivalent
- Solid knowledge of logistics important and export procedures including customs procedures and Incoterms 2020
- Experience in international sea, air and road transport operations and planning, knowledge of documentation requirements (CIPL, BOL, AQB, CMR, MRN)
- Computer Literacy
