Maintenance Technician - Permanent Cumbria
To ensure all Mechanical maintenance routines, defect repairs and projects at Power are carried out in a safe and efficient manner to meet contractual targets in accordance with site safety, environmental and quality procedures.
Provide Mechanical technical support for day-to-day Engineering and Maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot assigned Mechanical problems, resolving and documenting issues.
Perform Programmed Maintenance work, Defect rectification, Emergent and Project work relating to rotating and stationary equipment, providing timely feedback and completion of the Electronic Shift Log and the Site CMMS (Maximo).
Produce and improve maintenance procedures, work plans, project scoping documents and contractor work scopes.
The job holder will:
Have a Mechanical apprenticeship qualification
Hold an NVQ3 or equivalent qualification in mechanical discipline
Maintain rotating equipment, steam raising systems, piping and valves.
Work collaboratively with other departments & third parties.
Correctly & safely work to business, legislative and discipline requirements. Applying legislation in responsibilities: PSSR, DSEAR, HASAWA, LOLER.
Use of a Central Maintenance Management System to complete accurate reporting, trending and improvement of work orders
