- Identify and analyze corrosion mechanisms and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Develop and implement corrosion monitoring programs to track the effectiveness of mitigation measures.
2. Cathodic Protection:
- Design, install, and maintain cathodic protection systems for refinery assets.
- Perform regular inspections and testing of cathodic protection systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cathodic protection systems.
3. Coating Consultation:
- Provide expert guidance on the selection, application, and maintenance of protective coatings for refinery equipment and structures.
- Develop coating specifications and standards in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct inspections and quality assurance checks on coating applications to ensure compliance with specifications.
4. Inspection and Testing:
- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) and other inspection techniques to detect and evaluate corrosion damage.
- Analyze inspection data and prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
5. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all corrosion control and cathodic protection activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and codes (e.g., NACE, API, ASTM).
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of [15] years of experience in corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and coatings within the refinery or petrochemical industry.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful corrosion control and cathodic protection programs.
- Certifications:
