RBI Engineer

 

  1. RBI Program Development:

- Develop and implement comprehensive RBI programs tailored to refinery operations, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.

- Identify critical assets and prioritize inspection activities based on risk assessment and criticality analysis.

  1. Risk Assessment:

- Conduct detailed risk assessments for refinery equipment and systems, including pressure vessels, piping, storage tanks, and heat exchangers.

- Utilize advanced risk assessment tools and methodologies to evaluate the likelihood and consequences of potential failures.

  1. Inspection Planning:

- Develop and optimize inspection plans based on RBI analysis, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and minimizing downtime.

- Recommend appropriate inspection techniques and intervals to detect potential issues before they lead to failures.

4. Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure all RBI activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and codes (e.g., API, ASME, OSHA).

- Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.

 Qualifications:

- Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

- Experience:

- Minimum of [X] years of experience in RBI engineering, with a focus on refinery operations.

- Certifications:

- Relevant certifications such as API 580 (Risk-Based Inspection), API 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspector), API 570 (Piping Inspector), or equivalent.

- Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in RBI software tools (e.g., Meridium, RBMI, PCMS).

- Strong understanding of refinery processes, equipment, and failure mechanisms.

- Knowledge of advanced inspection techniques and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
