Offshore Methods Engineer
Contract Type: Agency (Outside IR35)
Location: Kingston - Right to work in the UK Required 

Role Overview: We are seeking experienced Offshore Methods Engineers to support a major offshore project on a contract basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing methods engineering activities for offshore installation projects, ensuring high-quality execution and efficient installation/construction solutions. This role requires technical expertise in offshore pipeline installation and strong coordination skills to support engineering and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee methods engineering activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Assist other departments in identifying and implementing the most efficient installation methodologies.
• Organise and participate in design reviews to define optimal installation solutions.

Tasks & Duties:

• Lead and coordinate the method engineering team, providing technical and administrative guidance.
• Ensure the implementation of work programs in line with project plans, designs, and specifications.
• Interpret, implement, and enhance proposed design solutions.
• Maintain and oversee documentation processes, including filing systems and distribution.
• Monitor work progress, reviewing reports, procedures, and calculations to ensure compliance with project standards.
• Act as a key liaison for technical coordination with clients, including participation in interface meetings.
• Support and advise the installation team and vessel management on technical aspects of offshore operations.
• Ensure all checklists and installation records are completed and submitted to the Quality Control Coordinator.
• Conduct onshore site inspections to verify compliance with project requirements.
• Participate in critical offshore tasks, ensuring proper execution and incorporating lessons learned.
• When required, support offshore activities in the role of Field Engineer, both in yards and offshore vessel operations.

Required Experience:

• Strong background in offshore installation projects, specifically in rigid pipeline installation.
• Experience in methods engineering for offshore construction and installation.
• Proficiency in coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Familiarity with offshore installation methodologies and best practices.
