Job Title: Commissioning Process and Piping Specialist
Contract Duration: 36 Months
Location: Qatar (Onshore/Offshore)
Work Hours: 10 hours/day
Work Schedule: 6 days/week (26 days/month)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Process and Piping Specialist to oversee the execution of process and piping commissioning activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines, safety requirements, and operational excellence. The role requires hands-on experience with commissioning methodologies, system completion databases, and high-pressure testing in a dynamic oil and gas environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Engineering degree in Process Engineering or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience .
Minimum 10 years of total experience , with at least 6 years in commissioning roles for major capital projects.
Extensive knowledge of hydrotesting, leak testing (gross air, helium-nitrogen), hydraulic oil flushing, and Wellhead Control Panels .
Proficiency in OPERCOM® Methodology, ICAPS© software, and international commissioning standards .
Strong experience in handling EPC contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors involved in offshore oil and gas projects.
Hands-on expertise in commissioning critical process equipment (high-pressure vessels, PSV, BDV, etc.) .
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on teamwork.
Computer literacy in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and technical documentation tools .
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage process and piping commissioning activities to meet project milestones while ensuring safety compliance , particularly during SIMOPS and co-activities .
Monitor and oversee contractor piping activities using OPERCOM® Methodology and ICAPS© software .
Supervise Vendor activities during commissioning, including SAT, Punch List Closure, and OTP .
Optimize onshore commissioning to minimize offshore work and ensure smooth execution.
Ensure availability of commissioning spare parts and special tools for timely execution.
Provide technical guidance and timely reviews of EPC contractor commissioning plans, execution strategies, and deliverables.
Ensure seamless coordination between various disciplines, including construction, hook-up, completion teams, and safety representatives .
Review and approve Commissioning system completion documents prepared by the EPC contractor.
Monitor risk management plans and propose mitigation strategies for commissioning-related challenges.
Lead and participate in technical meetings, risk assessments, and lessons learned documentation .
Serve as the interface focal point between multiple contractors during commissioning execution, including SIMOPS operations.
