No experience / No degreeOn behalf of our global Oilfield Services organisation, NES Fircroft are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join the team in Perth to support onshore and offshore projects.

As a Data Engineer, you will play a vital role performing hands-on work as part of the team; from overseeing work at a field site to providing quality service to the customer.
The ideal candidate will mainly be responsible for the overall job execution and performance for on-location geological & drilling data collection and reporting to the customer. This is a lead role that requires you to be responsible for company assets on location.
This position reports to the Unit Manager and will be offered as a field-based position on a 4 week on 2 weeks off FIFO roster.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure adequate personnel, supplies and equipment are always present at well site.
- Gather accurate and factual logging information.
- Interpret logging information to determine occurrence and composition of resource.
- Provide lithological descriptions of all formations drilled.
- Assemble mud logging information into mud logs and drilling database.
- Communicates mud logging information to customers.
- Perform specialized tests or gather additional data as required.
- Degree in Geology, Geophysics or similar.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant field experience.
- Full competency in job tasks detailed in the key responsibilities.
- Ability to demonstrate technical aptitude to standards required.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail for data entry and logging.
