Monobuoy designs and manufactures offshore fluid loading systems. Traditionally this has been for oil and gas, but we are moving into loading alternative fuels such as ammonia, hydrogen even offshore charging stations.

We are looking for an experienced mechanical design engineer to work in our engineering department. The work is varied and the candidate will be expected to be involved in all aspects of the company’s technical work, including mechanical and structural design, instrumentation and control systems and offshore installation. Site visits to the manufacturing sites and clients facilities are necessary as well as visits offshore. 

The candidate shall be at least qualified to BSc level in a relevant engineering subject and have the following experience:
•    Experience in mechanical and/or structural design
•    Experience in producing technical specifications
•    Knowledge of solid modelling software (Inventor/Solid Works)
•    Knowledge of FEA softwares (Simulation Mechanical, ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar)
•    Understanding of ABS & DNV offshore rules
•    Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems

Further, experience in the following would be useful:
•    Offshore engineering
•    Corrosion
•    Control systems

The candidate should have at least 10 year’s experience after leaving university.

The position is a permanent one, based in Monaco. Salary is excellent and there is a good profit sharing scheme.

Rents in Monaco are high, but there is no income tax for residents and Monaco offers an excellent state pension scheme and health benefits.
