Our client, a major Oil & Gas operator, is seeking an experienced Operations Technician to join their offshore team in the Southern North Sea.

This role offers a long-term contract opportunity with strong PAYE rates. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and hold valid BOSIET, MIST, and an in-date offshore medical certification.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a major operator on a long-term Contract.

Contract Details

  • Duration: Minimum 12-month contract with high potential for extension
  • Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, 12-hour shifts
  • Mobilisation Base: Norwich
  • Day Rate: PAYE
  • Mileage -per mile for mobilising travel both ways OR economy travel
  • Accommodation- Hotel for night before mobilising if required    
As an Operations Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of platform process and utility systems. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs, respond to alarms and shutdowns, and contribute to operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily operations of production facilities.
  • Prepare Work Control Certificates (WCCs) and Isolation Control Certificates (ICCs) for vendor mobilisations.
  • Ensure required spares are onboard and ready for maintenance.
  • Prepare plant for maintenance, including oil and gas freeing for containment breaks.
  • Monitor the plant and raise defects with the Offshore Team Leader (OTL).
  • Ensure vendor work is completed, and update Maximo maintenance system.
  • Act as Performing Authority (PA) and Isolating Authority (IA) where required.
  • Implement operational procedures, policies, and safe working practices.
  • Provide control room coverage for the Control Room Operator (CRO) during meal breaks.
  • Ensure all known defects are logged in Maximo and feed jobs into the maintenance plan.
